We collect personal and medical information you provide during registration including name, date of birth, blood group, allergies, medications, emergency contacts, and insurance details. We also collect scan logs when your QR code is scanned.

2. Why we collect it

Your data is collected solely to provide emergency medical information to first responders, healthcare providers, and emergency contacts during medical emergencies. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for commercial purposes.

3. How we protect it

All data is stored on secure servers with encryption. Access to sensitive medical data is restricted by role-based access controls. Only verified hospital staff and emergency responders can access detailed medical records.

4. Who can see your data

Tier 1 (anyone who scans your QR): Name, blood group, allergies, emergency contact. Tier 2 (verified responders): Insurance details, address. Tier 3 (verified hospitals): Full medical history, prescriptions, visit records.

5. Your rights under DPDP Act 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data at any time, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@emercode.com.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal and medical data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies only for authentication purposes. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
